Dame Agatha Mary Clarrisa Christie has been one of the best-selling authors of all time.She is the author of 66 novels and 14 short story collections. She has been nicknamed "Queen of Crime".

A lot of her mystery novels have been set in the holiday time. And what better time to read them than in summer?

So these are the best Christie novels to read in the summertime...



Peril at the End House

Our beloved detective, Hercule Poirot is vacationing on the Cornish coast, where he meets Nick Buckley. Nick is the young and ruthless mistress of End House, an imposing structure perched on the rocky cliffs of St. Loo Poirot immediately takes a particular interest in this young woman.


Recently, she narrowly escaped a series of accidents that threatened her life. It's clear to him that someone is trying to get poor Nickout, but who? And what are the motives? In search of answers, Poirot must delve into End House's dark history. The deeper the investigation, the more confident the perpetrators will strike again soon. And this time, Nick may not make it out alive.

Murder in Mesopotamia

On the banks of the Tigris River in Iraq, an archaeologist's wife is murdered.

It was clear to nurse Amy Leatheran that something sinister was happening at the Hassanieh excavation site. It was something related to the existence of "Lovely Louise", the wife of a famous archaeologist, Dr. Leidner, connected. However, she was unable to pinpoint it.


Hercule Poirot was scheduled to stop by the excavation site in a few days. With Louise haunted by terrifying hallucinations and tensions within the group becoming unbearable, it may be too late for Poirot to save the day.

Death on the Nile

The serenity of a beautiful Nile cruise is shattered by the discovery of the murder of Lynette Ridgeway. She was young, stylish, beautiful, and had everything, but she lost her life.

Fear increases when they learn that a murder like the one described in this rhyme is taking place. They fall prey to one another and their prey. Before the weekend is over, there will be nothing left. Who is behind this evil plan, and who is left to tell the tale? Only the dead are beyond doubt.

Evil under the Sun

Hercule Poirot is on vacation in Devon. During his stay at a wonderful hotel beside a beach, he noticed a young woman who was frivolous and charming, but not particularly popular with many of the guests. Some may also have reasons to detest her.


When her dead body is found under the sun, Poirot suspects the guests of the Hotel. He has to investigate the circumstances of her murder before the murderer strikes again.

Third Girl

Three young women share an apartment in London. The first is a cool and capable secretary. The second is an artist. The third interrupts Hercule Poirot's breakfast and calls him old much to Poirot's surprise, and she disappears immediately.


Poirot slowly learns about the mysterious third daughter, her family, and the rumors surrounding her disappearance. But a detective needs hard evidence to declare them guilty, innocent, or insane.
