Fantasy Tropes - Book Tag

Fantasy - the genre full of magic, wizards, kingdoms, royals, and creatures. There always certain tropes bound to get repeated, so let's get to the Book Tag, shall we ?

LOST PRINCESS: A BOOK/SERIES YOU LOST INTEREST IN HALFWAY THROUGH

- The Swordcatcher by Cassnadra Clare. This was her first book set outside the Shadowhunter world, and it was a huge disappointment. I did finish it though even though I was bored. It wasn't exactly the signature Cassandra Clare writing style, it wasn't good.

KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR: A HYPED BOOK/SERIES YOU WERE SWEPT UP BY

- The Folk of the Air Series by Holly Black. This is one of the most hyped books and for me, it certainly lived up to the standard.

WISE OLD WIZARD: AN AUTHOR WHO AMAZES YOU WITH HIS/HER WRITING

- Erin Morgenstern. She only has two books in her bibliography and I consider it a very big crime.

MAIDEN IN DISTRESS: AN UNDERVALUED CHARACTER YOU WISH HAD A BIGGER STORYLINE

- Aedion from the Throne of Glass series. He definitely deserved a better role and should have been given more chapters.

MAGIC SWORD: A MAGICAL ITEM/ABILITY YOU WISH AUTHORS USED LESS

- The whole fae and salt thing. It's just weird.

MINDLESS VILLAIN: A PHRASE YOU CANNOT HELP BUT ROLL YOUR EYES AT

- Mates in fae books, despite being a Maas lover, I can't help but be annoyed at this.

UNTAMED DRAGON: A MAGICAL CREATURE YOU WISH YOU HAD AS A PET

- Maybe a Hippogriff. It would be cool to fly around on it.

CHOSEN ONE: A BOOK/SERIES YOU WILL ALWAYS ROOT FOR

- The Shadowhunter Chronicles series. I wish this series would never end.

Till the next

Happy Reading...
