Netflix Book Tag

Back after a lot of days, so of course I was busy watching watching Netflix. So, in honor of that, I decided to do the NETFLIX BOOK TAG...

Recently Watched - the book which you most recently read

Love in the Time of Serial Killers by Alicia Thompson - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A romance sprinkled with mystery and murder themes. A Ph.D. candidate thinks her new neighbor is a murderer when in fact he's just a nice guy. But our beloved candidate doesn't believe anyone, so watch the chaos unravel as she tries to prove that he is everything he isn't while also trying to not fall in love with him.

Top picks - A book recommended to you based on another book you've read

Caraval by Stephanie Garber - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

It is a fantasy mystery that takes place inside a game everything is a performance and where people get swept away from reality. Our protagonist Scarlett has to find her sister Tella with the help of a charming sailor before it's too late and her sister is lost forever.

Recently Added - the book you most recently bought

The Habit of Winning by Prakash Iyer - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's non-fiction and the only one I actually like. It has stories about different people and how we need to face the obstacles that come our way. Simply written in a way that impacts you. It's a great book and I would highly recommend it.

Popular on Netflix - One book that you haven't read that everyone has been talking about

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

This book is said to be one of the best books of 2022 and I would like to read and find out why. It only took one line to convince me and that was that " This is not a love story but a story about love". Enough to convince me.

Comedies - a funny book

Love in the Time of Serial Killers by Alicia Thompson - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Once again, this was really a funny book.

Dramas - a character that is a total drama king or queen

Cardan Greenbriar from The Folk of Elflame Trilogy by Holly Black - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I know I never stop talking about this series but it is a great series. Our beloved Cardan is a total drama queen from the first book and will be till the last book Holly Black writes in this fantasy world.

Cartoons - a book with cartoons on the cover

The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I couldn't actually find a books with a cartoon cover so I picked one closest to it. It should count as it has a cartoon owl.

Watch again - a book or series you want to read again

The Sands of Arawiya Duology by Hafsah Faizal - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It was an amazing duology. Well-written with strong characters and a great plot. An interesting fantasy world with an ethnic vibe to it. Definitely worth a re-read.

Documentaries - a non-fiction book that you would recommend to everyone

The Habit of Winning by Prakash Iyer - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Once again. It's non-fiction and the only one I actually like. It has stories about different people and how we need to face the obstacles that come our way. Simply written in a way that impacts you. It's a great book and I would highly recommend it.

Action and Adventure - an action-packed book

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's the last book in the Throne of Glass Series. It's full of action, adventure, drama, and romance. I read this 900-page book in 4 and a half hours because it was just amazing. The overall series is a 4.9 star out of 5 because just something missing but it's still a great series nonetheless.

New releases - a new release or soon-to-be-released book that you're excited about

Sword Catcher by Cassandra Clare

It's Cassie's first book not set in The Shadowhunter Universe. Though I'm a little nervous, I'm also excited. I really hope I like it.

Till the Next

Happy Reading!
