"The Finest Pleasures are always the unexpected ones"- Erin Morgenstern, Night Circus
This book was an unexpected pleasure. It is one of those books where you have to do an annual re-read because you love it. Erin Morgenstern needs to write more books. That is a hill I'm ready to die on. This is my definition of a perfect book. Perfect for a cozy aesthetic read. The vibes of the book are like the song - "Young And Beautiful" by Lana Del Rey.
Without wasting any further time, on to the book review.
Summary
It is the best to go into the book blind because when I picked this up all written on the back was...
"The Circus Arrives Without Warning, No Announcements Precede It, It is Simply There When Yesterday it was Not"- Erin Morgenstern, Night Circus
That's literally all you need to know, that's all I knew before starting!
Plus Points:-
The Characters - This book has the collection of one of the best characters I have ever read. All are well-developed and nicely written.
The Pacing - It was not fast paced or slow, just perfect. Its just perfect enough, so that you don't get bored or feel "Oh my god, I don't know what's happening!" .
The Setting - The Vibes, The atmosphere is just 'chef's kiss'. The late Victorian era with the mystical vibes + a carnival full of magic.
Minus Points:-
Literally nothing I can think of. One of the books, out of which, I can never find a mistake.
Character Reviews:-
I'm only going to review 2 character because I feel the other might ruin the plot -
Marco - He loves books, do I even need to go on further. He's from an orphanage and assistant to the director of the Night Circus. Well - developed over the course of the plot.
Celia - She's our magic girl. Trained in it from a young age. She's one of the performers at the circus.
Overall Rating and Review:-
Rating - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - 5 Stars

That's all for today
