Reader Problems Book Tag

Updated: Jan 17, 2023

Let's be real, we have all been there. The list of problems for a reader keeps growing on and on. So when I found this Tag, I immediately knew what my next blog was going to be. Plus I am in the mood to do bookish tags, so a few upcoming blogs might also be tags. Sorry, not sorry. Hence moving forward to the Tag...

1. You have 20,000 books in your TBR, how in the world do you decide what to read next?

- Definitely depends on my mood. Maybe a mystery, sometimes fantasy and with a rare sprinkle of literary fiction and classics!

2. You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you put it down or are you committed?

- Well, since I have invested my time through the first half, might as well finish it. Some times the second half is way better than the first!

3. The end of the year is coming and you’re behind on your reading challenge, do you try to catch up? And if so, how?

- I read to enjoy and for escaping this damn world, so I take my time during read and do not try to go fast. Kinda ruins the experience!

4. The covers of a series you love, do not match, how do you cope?

- Meditation, no. Believe it or not, this has never once happened to me, but if it did, there would be a lot tears!

5. Everyone and their mother loves a book that you do not. Who do you bond with over your shared feelings?

- Not a single one of my friends read, and if you guys (*people who are my friends) are reading this pick up a book, please!

6. You’re reading a book in public and you’re about to start crying. How do you deal?

- This actually once happened in the school library, I was so engrossed in the story that I forgot I was in public and cried, but my dear friends comforted me, everyone deserves friends like them!

7. The sequel to a book you loved just came out but you’ve forgotten a lot of what happens. Are you going to reread it?

- I go to one of my favorite booktubers and watch their Booktalk, which is basically like a video summary on the book + their views and opinions!

8. You do not want anyone to borrow your books, how do you politely say no when someone asks?

- Well no one asks me to borrow my books, but if someone close to me asked I would give the book to them. As for someone I don't want to give, I usually use the excuse that I forgot where I kept it!

9. You have picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over this reading slump?

- I binge-watch a show. According to me, binging a show gives me the same feeling as reading a book or book series, except on a little lower scale. I also go back and reread some of my favorites!

10. There are so many books coming out that you are dying to read, how many do you end up buying?

- All, no other answer, just all!

11. After you purchase all of these books that you’re dying to read how long do they sit on your shelves before you get to them?

- Now that is the question. This usually depends on which book I am most excited to read!

That will be all for today

Happy Reading!!!
