The Magic of Books

📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖

Often people say that magic does not exist. Well, these people have not read books. We, as people who love books believe that magic exists as words on a page. You never know where those simple words might transport you; you never know how a few pages of mere words may move you; you never know how a book could make you feel a rush of emotions you never felt. Today, with just a few words on this page, let me introduce to you, the magic of books.

There are different kinds of magic in different types of books and you never know what kind of magic you'll fall in love with. You will find enchantment in every story.

It might be about a boy who lived under the stairs and then went on to defeat an evil sorcerer, or rather it might be about a girl with a bow and arrow who takes down the corrupt government, or rather, it might be about a man in London who smokes a pipe and solves baffling cases with his partner, or rather it may be a simple story where two people fall in love.

One of the best things about books is that they can make you feel a dozen of emotions and feelings, without even making you move in your seat. They can make you curious as they introduce you to characters that make a place in your heart, befriend you, characters that are absolutely real to you, so real, that their pain becomes your pain. They can have you biting your nails nervously as you root for these people that breathe in the words on the paper. They will have you praying for them to survive their hardships, hoping that they finally have their peace. They can have you laughing and gasping out loud. They will have moments you will remember more clearly than the definitions you learned for your exams. They will have you crying and sobbing at their deaths. People around you will ask, "Why are you crying about the death of a person that doesn't even exist?" The answer is simple. They were real to you.

Books might also make you cry as they end. It may be because of a sad ending as after all the struggles that the characters went through, they still didn't have their happily ever after, or they might have a happy ending, and you may be crying happy tears as you see characters who were in so much pain finally get their happy ending; or you might be in tears because the story you may have found a home in may have found serenity in, has come to a close. It's almost like you have to bid a close friend the last goodbye.

So, in the end, all I have to say is, explore this magic and treasure. Go on adventures with characters with whom you find comfort. Maybe read about solving daring cases, fighting fears in a haunted house, having a whirlwind, or a tragic love story, a quest with friends to save the world from evil, or dueling with a wizard or a dragon. And always remember, in the words of the brilliant author

Stephen King -"Books are a uniquely portable magic."
