  • Guide to Emily Henry Books

Emily Henry is the queen of summer rom-coms. Every single one of her books is amazing, to say the least. The author who has been ruling the booktok romance genre for years. Here's a complete guide to her brilliant books. # Happy Place Harriet and Wyn have been the perfect ideal couple since they met in college — they go together in the perfect balance, but not now, due to reasons they are not currently discussing. They separated 6 months ago. Yet haven't told their best friends. This is the way they wind up sharing the biggest room at the Maine bungalow that has been their companion gathering's yearly escape for the last 10 years. Just this year, Harriet and Wyn are telling a blatant lie while making an effort to not admit that they need one another. Since the cabin is available to be purchased this is the last week they'll all have together here. They can't tolerate breaking their closest ones' hearts, so they'll play their parts. It's a perfect arrangement (If you are blind and witnessing all this). Following quite an entertaining week, how hard is it to lie to the people who know you the best? ⭐⭐⭐⭐ / ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ # Book Lovers Nora Stephens' life is books — she has read them all. Not the spunky one, not the laidback beauty queen, and particularly not the darling. Truth be told, Nora is a courageous woman for her clients, for whom she lands huge arrangements as a vicious literary agent, and her darling younger sibling Libby. This is the reason she agrees to go to Daylight Falls, North Carolina for the long stretch of August when Libby asks her for a sisters' excursion away — with dreams of peace and fun. While there, Nora continues to catch Charlie Lastra, a rival editor from back in the city. It would be a meet-charming notwithstanding the way that they've met commonly and it's never been adorable. If Nora knows she's not an ideal courageous woman, Charlie knows he's no one's legend, however, as they are put together over and over — what they find may rewrite their stories together or forever apart. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ / ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ # People we meet on Vacation Poppy and Alex. Alex and Poppy. They share nothing in common. She's an out-of-control kid; he dons khakis. She has an unquenchable longing for novelty or adventure; he likes to remain at home with a book. Furthermore, in some way or another, since a game-changing vehicle shared home from school quite a while back, they are the absolute best of friends. For a large portion of the year they live far separated — she's in New York City, and he's in their little old neighborhood — however every late spring, for 10 years, they go for an annual vacation. Until quite a while back, when they stopped talking. They haven't spoken since. Poppy convinces Alex for a final getaway, one last trip where all the secrets of the past come back. Presently she has seven days to fix everything. If by some stroke of good luck, she can get around the one major truth that has consistently stood discreetly in the center of their amazing relationship. What's the worst that could happen? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ # Beach Read Augustus Everett is a bestselling author of literary fiction. January Andrews writes the best romance books. At the point when she pens a cheerful happily ever later, he kills off his whole cast of characters. The main thing they share practically speaking is that for the following three months, they're residing in adjoining ocean-side houses, broke, and stalled with a creative slump. Until, one foggy night, one thing leads to one more and they figure out a bet intended to break them out of their imaginative slumps: Augustus will spend the late spring composing something cheerful, and January will pen the Incredible American Book. She'll go on him on fake dates like in any romantic comedy montage, and he'll take her to talk with people from surviving cults (clearly). Everybody will complete a book and nobody will fall in love. Really? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Till the Next Happy Reading...

  • Fantasy Tropes - Book Tag

Fantasy - the genre full of magic, wizards, kingdoms, royals, and creatures. There always certain tropes bound to get repeated, so let's get to the Book Tag, shall we ? LOST PRINCESS: A BOOK/SERIES YOU LOST INTEREST IN HALFWAY THROUGH - The Swordcatcher by Cassnadra Clare. This was her first book set outside the Shadowhunter world, and it was a huge disappointment. I did finish it though even though I was bored. It wasn't exactly the signature Cassandra Clare writing style, it wasn't good. KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR: A HYPED BOOK/SERIES YOU WERE SWEPT UP BY - The Folk of the Air Series by Holly Black. This is one of the most hyped books and for me, it certainly lived up to the standard. WISE OLD WIZARD: AN AUTHOR WHO AMAZES YOU WITH HIS/HER WRITING - Erin Morgenstern. She only has two books in her bibliography and I consider it a very big crime. MAIDEN IN DISTRESS: AN UNDERVALUED CHARACTER YOU WISH HAD A BIGGER STORYLINE - Aedion from the Throne of Glass series. He definitely deserved a better role and should have been given more chapters. MAGIC SWORD: A MAGICAL ITEM/ABILITY YOU WISH AUTHORS USED LESS - The whole fae and salt thing. It's just weird. MINDLESS VILLAIN: A PHRASE YOU CANNOT HELP BUT ROLL YOUR EYES AT - Mates in fae books, despite being a Maas lover, I can't help but be annoyed at this. UNTAMED DRAGON: A MAGICAL CREATURE YOU WISH YOU HAD AS A PET - Maybe a Hippogriff. It would be cool to fly around on it. CHOSEN ONE: A BOOK/SERIES YOU WILL ALWAYS ROOT FOR - The Shadowhunter Chronicles series. I wish this series would never end. Till the next Happy Reading...

  • Agatha Christie Book Tag

The Queen of Crime, Agatha Christie. Despite her books being a century old, always keep the reader in suspense. Her characters are so complex and interesting, that you can't even guess who might be the killer. 1)How did you first get into reading Agatha Christie? & which of her books did you read first? - During lockdown, my mom bought three bestselling Agatha Christie books, so that I won't be bored. Unsurprisingly, I finished those 3 books in three days. The books were - Murder on the Orient Express, Murder of Roger Ackroyd, And Then There Were None. 2) Have you read any books on Agatha and her life? (Auto Biographies, biographies, etc. - No I have not but I have watched a lot of mini-movies and documentaries. 3) Have you watched any adaptations of Agatha Christie’s books; films, TV shows, plays etc? If so do you have a favourite? - The Murder on the Orient Express film was amazing. On the other hand, I just love Poirot, he's funny and smart. I would love to be his friend. One non-recurring character of my choice would be Michael Starkwedder from The Unexpected Guest. 7) Agatha Christie also wrote as Mary Westmacott, have you read any of these books? if so what did you think of them and were they like her other books? - I read one book of her's by Mary Westmacott. I was the Unfinished Portrait and I didn't like it at all. It was just too simple and boring. 8) There are quite a few books that feature Agatha as the character rather than the author, talk about the ones you have read and enjoyed - if you have not then would you like to? - I would like to think I'll enjoy it. I do love Christie. 9)Do you have a favorite Agatha Christie book that you find yourself turning to again and again? - Hercule Poirot's Christmas is a beloved one of mine. 10)She is known as the Queen of Crime, suggest another female crime author whom you like to read. - I would love to read something by Dorothy L. • Cliché Book Tag

Each book has a cliche. We either hate them or love but there is a reason why they are so popular... ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS: A BOOK THAT WASN’T OR COULDN’T BE BETTER THAN THE MOVIE Honestly, most of the time it's the other way round but if I had to choose, (I know I might get hate for this) The Lord of the Rings series. The books were just too hard for me to comprehend. THE GRASS IS ALWAYS GREEN ON THE OTHER SIDE: A RAGS TO RICHES…OR RICHES TO RAGS STORY Harry Potter went from rags to riches when he found out he was actually the son of a dead rich wizard. THE APPLE DOESN’T FALL FAR FROM THE TREE: A PARENT-CHILD RELATIONSHIP YOU LOVED Percy and his mother, Sally had the most loved Parent-child relationship any YA book ever had. YOU CAN’T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER: A GREAT BOOK THAT NEEDS A BETTER COVER The entire Shadowhunter Chronicle Series. Though the characters on the covers are iconic, they don't do justice to the magic of the books. YOU CAN’T PLEASE EVERYONE: A BOOK YOU LOVE BUT OTHERS HATE The world of books is still divided in half on the matter of A Court of Thorns and Roses. I personally love it. WHAT DOESN’T KILL YOU MAKES YOU STRONGER: A BOOK YOU ARE A BETTER PERSON FOR HAVING READ The Habit of Winning by Prakash Iyer. I don't read self-help books but this one surely changed me LOVE IS BLIND: A BOOK WITH A DISABLED CHARACTER OR ACTUAL BLIND LOVE I honestly have nothing for this IGNORANCE IS BLISS: A BOOK YOU IS BAD BUT DON'T WANT TO ADMIT IT The Big Four by Agatha Christie. Cozy mysteries are more her thing, in this one she seems to have tried for a more Sherlock Holmes-type adventure that does not suit the characters at all. THERE IS NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT: YOUR FAVORITE CONTEMPORARY BOOK Tweet Cute by Emma Lord. It's a teen romance about kids from rival restaurants. BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY: A BOOK YOU DON’T WANT TO READ IN CASE IT’S BAD OR VICE VERSA! The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston. I have very high expectations and at this point, I don't want to read it due to those. Till the Next Happy Reading...
