  • Poetry Pages - Chapter 6

Today, without wasting anytime let's get right to the poems..... Loving Myself I have no looks but I have a nice personality I am not weird I just have originality If you think I'm the problem, you should change you mentality I can be as good as an angel, or have a lot of immorality I'm weaker than a stick But make me mad, and I'll hit you face with a brick Be pleasant to me and you might become my sister or my bro I learn from my mistakes and grow I can be patient for days or for a little while Make me happy and I might smile I can be caring, sweet, friendly or may be vile I may be crazy but I do it with style If you don't like me, I don't care A person like me is rare I am a coward to face my fears I never dare Insult me, and I'll do more than a deadly stare Don't judge me just by seeing my first layer I am a complex person Great and stupid deeds I have done I'm in the top ten but never number one I'm brighter than the rising sun Not as amazing as everyone but still better than none I have no looks but a nice personality! Middle of the Night I wake up in the middle of the night Drunk on sleep, I looked at the mirror All I saw were broken pieces The silence increases Was it the mirror or me, I think in terror Tonight was dark, deprived of light I saw a shadow behind me I turned and saw nothing Silence is really loud And I don't fit in the crowd I feel they are coming People think I'm fine, but I disagree My enemies become friends My friends become enemies I don't know what I am It's like life's taking an exam Peace, I have searched across seas The noise never ends People cry crocodile tears at my pain My Melancholia reduces me to tears I survive by the skin of my teeth, but for how long? Good lyrics to the wrong song "She's crazy" the world declares My prayers go in vain People think I'm crying wolf Hope is now a needle in a haystack Sounds of crying fill the air Where is my knight in shining armour, where? People tell me a list of things I lack I couldn't find love like the wolves My house is not filled with ghosts It's just silence, tears, pain, problems and I The old clock gives a last chime before dying Each day, I'm trying Tape on a broken soul, I apply All my free will choices, a single person imposts I lost pieces when I broke The evil eye keeps it's gaze on myself No one comes to help One day, over my grave, my friends would smoke I want to fall apart completely I wouldn't care for the people who leave But I want to see who stayed to pick me up again Who would still love me the same? I woke up, I believe Once again, I look at the mirror discreetly It was put together, like it was brand new Maybe one day, I would be too What Life Should Be Driving through beautiful areas Head against the window Earphones plugged in Blocking out Earth's mass Mystical rain, or gorgeous snow Most peaceful I've been What life should be Most beautiful places you should see Sitting in a cozy room No worries at all Nose stuck in a good book Sky as beautiful as handloom Paintings hung in the hall All perfect you can look What life should be Growth comes slowly like an old tree Playing with friends Of the world, no care Happiest, I've felt in a long time Hoping this feeling never ends These feelings your friends share Better than a lucky dime What life should be Relationships with people who make you feel free Watching a good show With characters you like Cozy and cuddled in blankets When angry, a pillow you throw A show you love but others dislike Time moves on bit by bit What life should be Life, time and death most important three Feel all emotions Gather memories, tons Take that risk Enemies and friends, don't mix Do all you want Take revenge or let karma deal with that taunt Make your life, good and nice Try lemonade with ice What life should be Nights I walk home alone, On the sidewalk made of stone It's midnight, feels like the world died Only the night owl cried Being alone was never my weakness All my wrongdoers, I would bless God will take hundreds of tests To see who rises and bests The road is lonely But I act how my strongest would be I will rise from the ashes I will be the rock against which the ocean splashes Try if you can, to defeat me I'm not weak, you can see Song of Stars I can hear a familiar song Reminds me of the moon and stars Reminds me of what I did wrong Reminds me of broken cars You never wrote me a letter Maybe that was for the better You showed me beautiful rainbows Then left, turning my world black and white All I hear now is screeching and crows Now, I never see the light You will never come back You will always be what I lack That's all for today Happy Reading!

  • Poetry Pages - Chapter 5

Chapter 5 of Poetry Pages is basically sad girl aesthetic poems. Where I daydream endlessly because all the starless nights give nightmares… Ok, that was a bit over the top, let's get to the poems! Last Thoughts I don't think I have ever fallen before I have fallen because of my mistakes All my pain and problems give me a headache I have fallen because of my friendships Nothing have I ever achieved, even after crossing the hardships I have fallen because of my choices All because I choose to hear the wrong voices I have fallen because of not defending myself Because of my ego, I didn't ask for help I have fallen because of love Thought it would be easy, but it was tough I don't think I have ever fallen before But that's a lie Jumping from a building, would be a good try Living has become a chore I don't think I have ever fallen before... freely Problem I think I'm the problem Not just mine but everyone else's too And I have no idea what to do Such situations, I don't know how to solve-them I don't deserve anything or anyone Nothing good, I have ever done People want me to go away but I desperately want to stay Sometimes I think I deserve to die I say I'm fine but that's a lie Everyone secretly hates me They think I don't notice, but I can see The one's who I thought loved me, betrayed me The one's so close, I thought were family I think I'm the problem Destiny It's like - when your destiny slips from your hands When you don't even know where your relationship stands Sometimes when I look at him my heart stops Sometimes I feel completely fine Even though they are rare, I love our talks Even though he might be someone else's I wish he was mine He was like the midnight moon I was the evening monsoon rain He always left too soon And I would never be the same But maybe one day, there would be some in rain in the middle of the night 13 Things I Hate about You In a crowded room I look your way My heart hurts when you are away I say that I hate you, but that's the biggest lie I have spoken I gave you my heart, but I didn't know how many you had broken So tonight, I put together a list of things I "hate" about you 13. The way I love you, and you don't have a clue 12. The way you think it's all a joke, but it is true 11.The way you don't even think about anyone but her 10. The way you make me wish, that we could go back to what we were 9. The way you don't even care for me 8.The way you don't even notice me sometimes, and everyone can see 7. The way when our eyes locked, The way I forgot all 6.The way I would clear my schedule, in case you call 5.The way you don't even care, not the smallest bit 4.The way you stole my heart, and now I can't find it 3.The way you don't even like me 2.The way you don't even love me 1.The Way you make me wish you could see You don't have a clue, These are the 13 things I hate about you Till the next Happy reading!

  • Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern - Book Review

"The Finest Pleasures are always the unexpected ones"- Erin Morgenstern, Night Circus This book was an unexpected pleasure. It is one of those books where you have to do an annual re-read because you love it. Erin Morgenstern needs to write more books. That is a hill I'm ready to die on. This is my definition of a perfect book. Perfect for a cozy aesthetic read. The vibes of the book are like the song - "Young And Beautiful" by Lana Del Rey. Without wasting any further time, on to the book review. Summary It is the best to go into the book blind because when I picked this up all written on the back was... "The Circus Arrives Without Warning, No Announcements Precede It, It is Simply There When Yesterday it was Not"- Erin Morgenstern, Night Circus That's literally all you need to know, that's all I knew before starting! Plus Points:- The Characters - This book has the collection of one of the best characters I have ever read. All are well-developed and nicely written. The Pacing - It was not fast paced or slow, just perfect. Its just perfect enough, so that you don't get bored or feel "Oh my god, I don't know what's happening!" . The Setting - The Vibes, The atmosphere is just 'chef's kiss'. The late Victorian era with the mystical vibes + a carnival full of magic. Minus Points:- Literally nothing I can think of. One of the books, out of which, I can never find a mistake. Character Reviews:- I'm only going to review 2 character because I feel the other might ruin the plot - Marco - He loves books, do I even need to go on further. He's from an orphanage and assistant to the director of the Night Circus. Well - developed over the course of the plot. Celia - She's our magic girl. Trained in it from a young age. She's one of the performers at the circus. Overall Rating and Review:- Rating - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - 5 Stars Review - Amazing book, go read it That's all for today Happy Reading!

  • Poetry Pages - Chapter 2

Hello there! Thank you for coming. I have started a thing where I write poetry prompts on a page and my dear, wonderful friends select a few, which then I have to connect and then make a poem out of. Easy enough, right? No, writing them is hard, and connecting them is even harder, but that is just my friends pushing me toward working harder. I hope so. So without wasting any further time, on the Poems... For S.M - 1. Hell is Broken One day, when hell is broken, soon would be heaven, 'Cause, there is no good without evil, 'Cause, there are no funerals without deaths, 'Cause, there is waking up without sleep, 'Cause, there is no love without hate, 'Cause, there is no first without last, 'Cause, there is no life without death, 'Cause, there is no heaven with angels without a hell for devils. For N.A. - 2. Sometimes Sometimes a lighted candle is better than a bulb, Sometimes a single heartbeat is better than a heart full of them, Sometimes caring a little is better than caring too much, Sometimes it's better to leave love that causes pain, Sometimes it's better to embrace hate that gives no harm, Cause who cares about the thorns when the flowers bloom? Who cares about me when he is happy! 3. New Beginnings New Beginnings have courage, No matter what your age, It's like making a secret diary, which anyone can find, But who cares, not me, Remember, some people are actually kind, It's like making a painting, With all your favorite colors, Some may not like it, but remember it's yours! For V.V. - 4. Perfect as a Picture My life is as perfect as a picture, The perfect weather every day, Looking like it's going to rain tonight, Every day is the perfect good day, Every moment is full of joy, Nothing ever sad, Nothing ever bad, My life is as perfect as a picture, Isn't that a good thing to dream about? When the actual picture lies shattered beside me? For A.M. - 5. Lost Along the Way To be lost along the way, Pick up a book, Time will just pass by, No need to look, A book, the best way to run away, When in the real world, You don't want to stay, Audiobook, E- book, Newspaper or novel Full of stories, words, sentences and vowels, But let me tell you a better way, Pick up a blank page, Make up characters and write about them, Put them on a stage Do it, And be lost along the way. 6. Death Comes Death visits multiple times but kills only once, Cause feelings and emotions are more fatal, The Feeling of, Drowning in the sea and water everywhere, Dying of thirst in a desert. Having poison in your throat, that kills you and stays there when your choices lead to you stabbing, Not being loved in return, Even when you did carelessly, So, ask me again, How did I actually die? When we at last meet in the sky, I promise I won't lie, Until the next time, Goodbye... For L.V. - 7. Dream I once had a dream, We were dancing in the clouds, The Music was perfect, neither slow nor loud. The Angels were playing the orchestra, And our audience was heaven, We had joy in our dance steps, No room for error, We looked so glamorous, like an artist's best painting. With hope in love, we danced through the night, Sadly, it was only a dream. 8. Frame Some memories don't need to be preserved in a picture frame, Because you remember the moment clear, Like you are in it again, The Moment that took away your smile. The Moment you see how he was cruel and vile. The Moment where everything stopped. The Moment that shattered your life. The Moment your heart was stabbed with a knife. In The Beginning, when you start to smile, You didn't know people would be cruel and vile. For V.G. - 9. Better The one who I thought would be the dream was a nightmare, Would be my fate, was her's That was I learned, True Silence is better than fake pretty words, No direction is better than the wrong direction, Blunt Knife is better than a killing one, True Hatred is better than False love. 10. Everyone Else Sometimes you look around and see everyone glad, No one crying or sad, Everyone is sufficient, While you are just enough, Everyone full of desires, While you feel like in a fire, Everyone sleeping peacefully, While your nights are heavy, Days even heavier, Everyone is true to themselves, While you hope you can return to your true self. That is all for today Happy Reading

  • My Physical TBR

Hello! Hi, there. Before beginning, if you don't know what TBR stands for, it stands for - to be read. But when we don't know yet. When I went to count the no. of books on the tbr, I didn't know there would be 10 books on it, which according to me is pretty good. So without wasting any minute let's get to it... {Side note* I have put the books in order of least excited to read to most excited} 1. Sleeping Murder by Agatha Christie Reason for not reading it yet: Truthfully speaking, the only reason I haven't read this yet is that after only reading Agatha Christie's books for the majority of 2021, I need a break. The feeling I get from an Agatha Christie novel (a feeling I love) was just too much after reading 45 books by her, yes you read correctly, 45 books. I just need a break but I do know whenever I get to read this one, I am going to love it. What is it about: The story follows Gwenda moving into her new house, and soon after strange things start happening. Despite her efforts, crazy things won't stop happening, plus she felt scared every time climbing up the stairs. Then she turns to Miss Marple to help her... No. of Pages: 303 2. The Diamond of Drury Lane by Julia Golding Reason for not reading it yet: I didn't even remember I owned this book until I opened up a box of old books. And there it was. I don't even remember buying it. What is it about: Ok, so my book doesn't have a summary, so searched it up online and there is just too much going on? It follows a person called Cat Royal and there is some sort of treasure. It was just too confusing, you can search it up yourself... No. of Pages: 421 3. Dial A for Aunties by Jesse Sutanto Reason for not reading it yet: Well, I want to save this one for a time I need a good old Comedy Murder Mystery. Also, I have heard great reviews and know I am going to love this book. What is it about: When Meddy Chan accidentally kills her blind date, she quickly calls her aunties and asks them to help as they are the ones who set her up, so it's sort of their fault, and hiding a dead body is harder than you think... No. of Pages: 337 4. A Court of Frost and Starlight Reason for not reading it yet: I haven't reached there yet in the Acotar series, but I am still dreading it as a lot of my favorite booktubers said that this was not as good. As this is not a book but a collection of short stories or a novella. What is it about: I am too scared to read the back of it, in case I spoil myself for the series... No. of Pages: 229 5. A Reaper at the Gates Reason for not reading it yet: I am currently reading A Torch Against the Night, and once I finish reading that I may pick this one up. What is it about: once again, I am too scared to read the back of it, in case I spoil myself for the series... No. of Pages: 458 6. A Sky Beyond the Storm Reason for not reading it yet: I am currently reading A Torch Against the Night, and once I finish reading that, I will read A Reaper at the Gates, and then I may pick this one up if I don't pick up the previous one. What is it about: once again, I am too scared to read the back of it, in case I spoil myself for the series... No. of Pages: 516 7. Serpent and Dove Reason for not reading it yet: I am in the middle of quite a few series, and want to finish them first, leave a part of myself in their world, take a part of that world, and put it in my heart before going to a new world (yes, I know that sounded exaggerated, leave me alone). But I may pick it up if I am in the Mood. What is it about: Louise Blanc, a witch, and Reid Diggory, a witch hunter get bound in holy Matrimony, you see where this is going... No. of Pages: 513 8. Blood and Honey Reason for not reading it yet: I need to read Serpent and Dove first. What is it about: once again, I am too scared to read the back of it, in case I spoil myself for the series... No. of Pages: 532 9. A Court of Wings and Ruin Reason for not reading it yet: I need to read A Court of Mist and Fury First. What is it about: once again, I am too scared to read the back of it, in case I spoil myself for the series... No. of Pages: 699 10. A Court of Mist and Fury Reason for not reading it yet: Currently reading a different book but I am most likely to pick this one up next unless A Torch Against the Night ends in such a way, I need to pick up A Reaper at the Gates, we'll see. What is it about: This one is also hard to explain without ruining the ending of the first book 1. Feyre's adventures after the ending of book 1 is the best way to put it... No. of Pages: 624 That was all, See you next time... Happy Reading!

  • Taylor Swift Book Tag

One of the best things that happened to me this year was discovering Taylor Swift's wonderful music. I knew who she was but I never actually listened to her music. That all changed when one day "Don't Blame Me" by her came on my shuffle music and I have been obsessed ever since, though I still have to listen a quite a majority of her songs, I am still a big fan. So, I thought there is a literal book tag for everything, there has to be one for Taylor Swift, and voila, I found one and am doing it immediately..... 1. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together: Pick a book or series that you were pretty sure you were in love with, but then wanted to break up with. - This has to be Mockingjay, the first half was good but the second just... I don't know. Also this time there was no Hunger Games, which should be good but the stakes weren't as high without it. 2. Red: Pick a book with a RED cover. - The Vanishing Stair by Maureen Johnson. Search it up! 3. The Best Day: Pick a book that makes you feel nostalgic. - Has to be Chronicles of Narnia, it was the first series I ever read, and one of the only series I have reread! 4. Love Story: Pick a book with forbidden love. - Emma and Julian from The Dark Artifices. Let Parabatai Bond be Broken {just for them}! 5. I Knew You Were Trouble: Pick a book with a bad character you couldn’t help but love. - This just applies to all the Herondales from the Shadowhunter Chronicles. This song just reminds me of them! 6. Innocent: Pick a book that someone ruined the ending for. - Harry Potter and that someone was me because I saw the movies and then read the books! 7. Everything Has Changed: Pick a character from a book who goes through extensive character development. - Alec Lightwood from the Mortal Instruments. I am so proud of him! 8. You Belong With Me: Pick your most anticipated book release. - Chain of Thorns by Cassandra Clare. I need that book! 9. Forever and Always: Pick your favorite book couple. - I can never pick one so I will list a few (a lot) of my favs:- Juda - Cardan, Pip - Ravi, Clary - Jace, Will - Jem - Tessa, Alec - Magnus, Charlotte - Henry, Kit - Ty, James - Cordelia, Thomas - Alastair, Laia - Elias, Celia - Marco and Katniss - Peeta. I think these are all!! 10. Come Back, Be Here: Pick the book you would least like to lend out, for fear of missing it too much. - The Folk of the Air, I love you! 11. Teardrops On My Guitar: Pick a book that made you cry a lot. - Clockwork Princess, if you know you know, I will be over there in the corner crying my eyes out! 12. Shake It Off: Pick a book that you love so much, you just shake off the haters - Acotar, I just finished this one last night and I am continuing this series! 13. Out Of The Woods: Pick a book couple that is so frustrating because you just need them to be together already! - James and Cordelia, like... just... Come On! That will be all... Happy Reading

  • Reader Problems Book Tag

Let's be real, we have all been there. The list of problems for a reader keeps growing on and on. So when I found this Tag, I immediately knew what my next blog was going to be. Plus I am in the mood to do bookish tags, so a few upcoming blogs might also be tags. Sorry, not sorry. Hence moving forward to the Tag... 1. You have 20,000 books in your TBR, how in the world do you decide what to read next? - Definitely depends on my mood. Maybe a mystery, sometimes fantasy and with a rare sprinkle of literary fiction and classics! 2. You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you put it down or are you committed? - Well, since I have invested my time through the first half, might as well finish it. Some times the second half is way better than the first! 3. The end of the year is coming and you’re behind on your reading challenge, do you try to catch up? And if so, how? - I read to enjoy and for escaping this damn world, so I take my time during read and do not try to go fast. Kinda ruins the experience! 4. The covers of a series you love, do not match, how do you cope? - Meditation, no. Believe it or not, this has never once happened to me, but if it did, there would be a lot tears! 5. Everyone and their mother loves a book that you do not. Who do you bond with over your shared feelings? - Not a single one of my friends read, and if you guys (*people who are my friends) are reading this pick up a book, please! 6. You’re reading a book in public and you’re about to start crying. How do you deal? - This actually once happened in the school library, I was so engrossed in the story that I forgot I was in public and cried, but my dear friends comforted me, everyone deserves friends like them! 7. The sequel to a book you loved just came out but you’ve forgotten a lot of what happens. Are you going to reread it? - I go to one of my favorite booktubers and watch their Booktalk, which is basically like a video summary on the book + their views and opinions! 8. You do not want anyone to borrow your books, how do you politely say no when someone asks? - Well no one asks me to borrow my books, but if someone close to me asked I would give the book to them. As for someone I don't want to give, I usually use the excuse that I forgot where I kept it! 9. You have picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over this reading slump? - I binge-watch a show. According to me, binging a show gives me the same feeling as reading a book or book series, except on a little lower scale. I also go back and reread some of my favorites! 10. There are so many books coming out that you are dying to read, how many do you end up buying? - All, no other answer, just all! 11. After you purchase all of these books that you’re dying to read how long do they sit on your shelves before you get to them? - Now that is the question. This usually depends on which book I am most excited to read! That will be all for today Happy Reading!!!

  • Stranger Things Book Tags

To all the Stranger Things Lovers! Honestly, despite knowing about Stranger Things I never watched it for years probably because I knew it was a horror show and I like to stay away from horror like the whole Stranger Things cast until the last episodes. But one day I had nothing to watch, and my friend had been pestering me to watch it, so I thought why not, so I started at 10 in the morning and the next thing I knew it was almost midnight and I was finishing up season 3 finale. I was Hooked. Then, next day watched the whole volume 1 of season 4 and was so frustrated to wait a month for volume 2. So when I saw this book tag I was like I'm doing this. So let's begin before one of us gets eaten by a Demogorgon. Epic Intro: a book that grabbed your attention on the first page. It has to be 'Then There were None' by Agatha Christie. It was my first Agatha Christie and I loved it. It's about ten people who get invited to an island but their host isn't there. Now stuck, everyone is confused but things get even more chaotic when people start dying one by one. It starts with everyone getting a letter and traveling to get to the dock where the boat will take them to the island. From the starting, you get the feeling that something is wrong. I couldn't sleep because of this book as - a. It scared me, b. I needed to know who was killing everyone. Dungeons and Dragons: A Fantasy World You Would Like to Experience Yourself Dammit! It's a hard one. I think I am going to choose 3. No 1. is the most basic answer but it has to be Hogwarts. I mean who doesn't want to go to Hogwarts. On second no. it will be the land of Elflame, I will kill a person to go there, I am already channelizing my inner Jude Duarte. And last but not least - In the Shadowhunter World, I am ready to become shadow, a hunter and drink from the mortal cup. Squad Goals: name your favorite bookish friends Wow! I thought the last one was hard (note sarcasm in voice or writing or text). You know what I think I am going to do another top 3 for this (my blog, my rules). No.1 is the obvious Golden Trio from Harry Potter and their other friends like Fred and George, Ginny, Luna, Neville, Dean, and Seamus. The second one, It's a tie between the Infernal Devices Gang and The Mortal Instruments Gang, their idea of hanging out is killing demons. Last one on the last list is definitely, Stevie and her friends from Truly Devious. Honestly, I love all of their power dynamics. ABC’s and Christmas Lights: Favorite Mentally Unhinged Character Umm... I don't have one for this. The Upside Down: Book That Was Opposite of What You Expected The Maid by Nita Prose, I expected a murder mystery even though it was there I didn't expect it to be so funny. I had high expectations for this book but I just found it too slow and then it very suddenly speeded up. Even though, I liked the plot twist in the end, overall didn't love it. Mad Scientist: Name the Freakiest Government You Can Think of I don't even have to think. The Government of Panem from The Hunger Games. I mean what kind of government broadcast a show about kids killing each other and then celebrates it as a festival. Also, what kind of government destroys a whole district just because they revolted, if the actual government starts doing that humans would go extinct. Demogorgon: Scary Book Creature That You Would Not Want to go Through Your Walls Werewolves, Even though they are one of my favorite fantasy creatures, they scare me to death. I mean, not being able to control that every full moon turning into a monster. No Thanks. Cliffhanger Ending: A Book That Left You Wanting More The Chain of Iron, The Last Hours series, The Shadow Hunter Chronicles by Cassandra "Mrs. Cliffhanger and Heartbreaker" Clare. What was that ending? I want to cry just thinking about it. Can't even rant about it without spoiling. If you don't want to get spoiled close the blog. *Spoiler* 2 of them run away to Paris, Another 1 gets wound up in dark magic, and her brother who loves one of the 2 who ran away can't stop them from going because their father stops him to find his sister, and last but not least 2 not 3 of my OTPs breakup.
